Common questions about PolyBot
Answered by PolyBot Pro, an independent site. Including the two most people would rather not print: who is actually allowed to trade on Polymarket, and what we earn for telling you about it.
Frequently asked questions
What is PolyBot?
- PolyBot is a self-custodial Telegram interface for Polymarket. You use the bot, or its Mini App, to find markets, place trades, automate strategies and manage a portfolio — all tied to your own Polygon smart wallet. It is available in nine languages across both chat and the visual interface.
Does PolyBot hold my funds?
- No. PolyBot creates a self-custodial Safe smart wallet on Polygon for your account, and your funds, positions and on-chain activity live in that wallet. PolyBot provides the Telegram and Mini App interfaces to it. Capital allocated to a managed strategy stays in your own wallet too, reserved for that strategy rather than moved somewhere else.
Which Telegram handles are the official PolyBot bots?
- PolyBot's documentation lists exactly three official trading bots: @TradePolyBot as the primary, with @TradePolyBetaBot and @TradePolyGammaBot as backups. Anything else claiming to be PolyBot is not. Check the handle before you connect a wallet or send funds — impersonation is the standard attack on any popular Telegram bot.
Do I have to pay gas fees, or hold POL?
- No, not for normal trading. Gas is the small fee a blockchain charges to process a transaction, and POL is the coin Polygon uses to pay it. PolyBot pays that fee for you on standard wallet actions, so you never need to buy or hold POL.
How do I get started with PolyBot?
- Open PolyBot in Telegram and run /start, then read and accept the terms and compliance confirmation. PolyBot creates your self-custodial Polygon Safe. Run /wallet, pick a network and asset from the live deposit picker, and send only that asset on that network to the address shown. Once it confirms, your tradeable balance appears as pUSD and you can place your first order.
Which networks can I deposit from?
- PolyBot's site lists Polygon, Solana, Base, Ethereum, Bitcoin and BNB. The picker inside the bot shows what is supported right now. Use that picker, not a list from anywhere else — including this page. Networks, coins and minimum amounts change. Send only the coin you picked, on only the network you picked, to the address the bot shows. If you send the wrong coin, or the right coin on the wrong network, it is usually gone for good.
What can PolyBot automate?
- Four things. Copy trading follows another trader's public trades and repeats them in your wallet, using your trade size, your choice of markets, your daily limit and your own exit rules. Auto Trader lets you write rules for crypto markets: when to buy, when to sell, when to try again, and when to stop after a run of losses. Managed HFT means high-frequency trading — you set aside part of your balance and PolyBot's own system trades it fast and often on your behalf. Risk automation handles selling: saved settings, stop losses, trailing stops, alerts, and collecting your winnings automatically when a market settles.
What do Tradable, Allocated and Net Worth balances mean?
- Tradable Balance is pUSD available for new trades or withdrawals. Open Limit Orders is cash reserved by your resting buy orders, so it is not freely available. Allocated Balance is capital assigned to a managed strategy such as HFT. Positions Value is the current marked value of what you hold, and Net Worth consolidates all of it. Marked values move with prices and can lag during fills or settlement — they are not guaranteed liquidation proceeds.
What are parlays, and why do they concentrate risk?
- A parlay joins several outcomes into one bet, which you can then track, cash out or claim inside PolyBot. Every single part has to be correct for it to pay anything. If one part is wrong, the whole parlay pays nothing — so a parlay makes your risk bigger, not smaller.
Who is allowed to use PolyBot?
- Not everyone. Prediction markets are illegal in some countries and in some US states. Polymarket blocks US persons — which covers US citizens living abroad, not just people in the United States — and restricts several other countries. Nobody checks this for you, and this site cannot check it for you. If you are not sure, get legal advice before you deposit anything.
Is this site run by PolyBot?
- No. PolyBot Pro is this site; PolyBot is the bot we write about. They are not the same company, and PolyBot does not control what is said here. The links on this site are referral links: if you sign up through one, this site earns a commission. You pay nothing extra and PolyBot's prices are the same either way. Because we are paid to recommend it, every fact here comes from PolyBot's own documentation so you can check it instead of trusting us.
